Verse of the Day: Psalms 51:10

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Today, as it is the last day of the year, let us ask God to cleanse our hearts and to start a fresh with Him.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus

Thank you for allowing us to survive this year.  I know you have great things in store for us for the new year.  We are grateful that you have given us another chance at life and forgiveness.  We ask oh Lord today, that you will cleanse our hearts and our minds, help us to be fully focused and poised to walk down that path of righteousness you have set forth for us.  We know we may stumble Lord, but help us to also know that we can always and forever lean on You.  Keep us strong, healthy and wise and to be prepared for your coming.  In Jesus name, Amen

Verse of the Day: John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Do you feel that anywhere you turn there's no way out for you? Are you feeling desperate for a breakthrough in your life but don't know where to turn?  Remember, in this world there is no human being that can give you total peace and satisfaction.  Turning to God is the only way to get you out of your troubles!

Let us pray for God to help us realize that He is the only way!

Dear Jesus

Thank you for your goodness and for your love.  Help us to realize that this world is full of corruption and trouble.  That even when things may seem right, if it doesn't involve you then it's not.   Help us Lord to distinguish right from wrong, good from evil and to put you first and foremost in our lives because you are our creator.

In Jesus Name we pray.   Amen

Verse of the Day: John 8:7

John 8:7
When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Do you find yourself condemning others? Do you find that you are talking about what others are doing but yet you are doing the same thing?

Let us pray to God to help us to look at our own lives and fix the mistakes we make.  Instead of looking at others.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus thank you for your love and the life you have given us.  We realize Lord that we are not perfect, and that we need you to deter us from condemning others, we don't know what is going on in their lives or how they feel in their hearts.  Help us to be focused on our own lives and to fix the negativity we carry in our hearts towards others, so that we can help those who need you instead of chastising.  In Jesus name, Amen

Verse of the Day: Mark 16:15

Mark 16:15
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Are you telling others about Christ? Are you witnessing to those who don't know of him?

Let us pray for knowledge and understanding of God's word so we may reach those who need Him.

Let us Pray
Dear Jesus we thank you for your love and forgiveness, we thank you that you have enabled us, in this day and age, to have easy access to your word.  Help us to realize that we can spend a moment out of our busy day to catch up on your word, and another moment out of our day to spread the word.   You have given us such knowledge, so help us to use that knowledge to understand your teachings and to enlighten those who need you.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Verse of the day: Genisis 6:5

Genesis 6:5
The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

Do you constantly have negative thoughts and can't find something nice to say to others? Evil doings does not only pertain to those who kill and steal.  It could be your negative thoughts about your neighbours or even complaining about the weather.

Let us pray for strength to resist the devil and his evil ways.  Let us pray for positivity in our lives.

Thank you Jesus for your love and for giving us life.  Lord, we see the evil in this world and we realize that at the rate the world is going, your coming is very soon.  Help us not to contribute to the negativity and the evil in this world.  Help us to keep our hearts and our minds pure and solely focused on you.  Guide our tongues so that we may not speak evil, and our actions so we may not partake of evil doings.  Keep us in the realm of your love.  In Jesus name we pray.. Amen

Verse of the day: Psalms 34:17

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.

God is closer to us than any brother, so we should know that whenever we need him we should just call.

Sometimes we forget how close God is, and rely on our human brothers and sisters to help us. Let us not forget that God is our number one deliverer he will save us from any issues we may have, all we have to do is call on Him.

Let us pray

Dear Lord we thank you for hearing our cry, and for delivering us from our troubles.  We ask oh Lord that we not forget who You are, that we will always remember to call upon you no matter what.  Help us in our hearts and minds to be pure so that when You come for us we will be ready to meet You.  In Jesus Name, Amen

Verse of the Day: Psalms 100

A favorite verse of mine I thought I would share:

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Remember God is good no matter what, Never forget to praise him!!

Let us Pray

Thank you Lord for your love and for giving us a chance at life.  We praise You and lift You up! Help us to always remember to praise You.

In Jesus name, Amen

Inspirational Music: Fred Hammond -Philippians 4:7

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 5:1-2

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Are you having a hard time following in God's footsteps?  Do you want to love others as Christ has loved you but don't know how?

Ask God to guide your footsteps towards help and help you to have a loving heart

Let us Pray:

Dear Jesus, We thank you for giving us a heart, help us to open our hearts and our minds so that we may love one another.  Help us not take you for granted, but to realize that all we have to do to follow your footsteps, is to cleanse our hearts and and minds and start anew in you.  Show us oh Lord how to Love.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen

God Bless

Verse of the day: 1 Corinthians 2:4

4. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,

When relaying the gospel to others, Do you lack the right words to say?

Ask God to speak through you.  Ask God to use you to help others the best way you know how.  - Sometimes actions speak louder than words.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus Thank you for showing us the way to you.  Help us to also show others the way, whether it be through our deeds or our actions.  Help us to have a kind heart filled with love & joy so that others may see you through us.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Thought I'd share this video on Health sent to me by a good friend of mine..enjoy!

Verse of the Day: Daniel 1:8-16

 Eating Healthy

But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel, 10 but the official told Daniel, “I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your[c] food and drink. Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of you.”
11 Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.” 14 So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
15 At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. 16 So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.

Do you struggle with eating healthy?  Have realized that the food and drink that you partake of has negative effects on your body, but you don't know how to begin eating healthy?

Let us pray that God shows you how to begin your healthy journey.

Dear Jesus

We thank you for giving us life, for allowing us another day on this earth.  We thank you that the fruits and vegetables of the earth were given to us to partake of to sustain this life that you have so kindly lent to us.  Lord we ask that you help us in our daily struggles of trying to put the right foods in our body. Help us to realize that we can only be strong in you.  We pray for your guidance over us as we seek out the truth from your word daily.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 11:1-3

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Are you lacking the faith that you need?  Do you feel you have faith in somethings and not others?

Ask God to help you to have the faith you need in all things.

Let us Pray:

Dear Jesus

Thank you for the gift of faith & understanding, in understanding we know that you died on the cross to save us from our sins, we also know by faith, that you are coming back again.  Let us also believe that you will protect us and guide us through life when we  put our whole trust in you.  Strengthen our faith in you so we will no longer doubt the plans you have for us.

 In Jesus name, Amen

Verse of the day: Matthew 7:1 NIV

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."

Are you quick to speak but slow to act? Do you look at others and think that you know what's good for them?

We all may be guilty of this, so let's ask God to rid the judgmental and hypocritical ways we may have.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus

Thank you for giving us a voice to speak, help us to listen to the still small voice inside that tells us to judge not. Help us to use our voice to quiet our own minds from thinking negative and being hypocritical of others. We realize that we are humans that make mistakes, but help us to realize that we can always do better when we follow the path you have chosen for us.
Thank you for you love dear Lord and for your blessings.

In Jesus name Amen

Prayers: Conneticut Elementary Shooting

Let us pray for the families affected by this shooting:

Dear Jesus

We are in utter shock, and dismayed that yet another school shooting has occurred.  Please be with those families that are now hurting because they have lost a loved one.  We understand that your coming is even now at the doorstep, so help us not sit back and watch by the sidelines. Help us to do our part in seeking out and helping those who are depressed or disturbed and need you.

Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers

Sincerely,
Your Child

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 14:29-30

29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

Are you full of anger? Are you quick to lash out at others?

Let us Pray for you:  Lord you are almighty, you see and you know our heart and our thoughts, you made the blind man see and the deaf to hear.  So we ask that you will also heal the wrath within our readers, give them the wisdom of understanding, and the patience they need to disperse the evil lurking within.  In Jesus name, Amen
