Our strength lies in Christ alone.

“Christ has pledged Himself to be our substitute and surety, and He neglects no one. He who could not see human beings exposed to eternal ruin without pouring out His soul unto death in their behalf, will look with pity and compassion upon every soul who realizes that he cannot save himself.”

In Christ alone can we find our strength, our human strength and power will fail if Christ is not in it and salvation will be lost.

Isaiah 12:2 says:

Behold God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Prayer:

Lord help us to keep our eyes on you.  Help us to realize that we can do all things only through you because you are the one who gives us strength when we call upon your name. Thank you for your love, compassion and grace may we continue to be faithful to you until the end.

In Jesus name,

Amen

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES

If ever we needed the Lord before we sure do need him now!  You know that song?  It is my theme song for 2020 and it actually should be the theme song for our life.  Lately, I've been struggling with keeping connected with God.  I feel at times that I am not adequate, that somehow I am a failure when it comes to worship and service to God.  But then when I open the Bible and I start to read certain verses, I am without a doubt sure that God is not done with me. I am comforted by scripture and I know that God loves me and will never leave nor forsake me.

I've recently started Bible journalling and it helps me to search the scriptures and discover many treasures that help me grow spiritually.  God really is our constant and He has our backs, we just need to keep in the word then we can't go wrong.

Here's a nice little paragraph from a book I read called "Christ's Object Lessons":

"Those who desire to find the treasures of truth must dig for them as the miners

dig for treasure hidden in the earth.  No halfhearted, indifferent work will avail.

It is essential for old and young, not only to read God's word, but to study it with whole hearted earnestness,

praying and searching for truth as for hidden treasures. Those who do this will be rewarded, for Christ will quicken the understanding...

Never give up the search until you have ascertained your relation to God and His will in regard to you."

Prayer:  Lord, you are my hiding place and I just praise you and give you all the glory,  When I am weak you make me strong, You are worthy to be praised. I thank you for your word and for your love for me.  I pray that you will help your people to keep in the word and to know that you are always with them.

In Jesus name I pray....Amen

Satan’s plan of destruction

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Satan doesn’t care about race. His goal is to destroy the human race by any means necessary.  His cleverly crafted race war attack has been successfully deployed.  Our people are under brutal attack and Satanic agencies are in full force.

Our hearts & minds have built up tension and anger from years of feeling oppressed.  Every negative feeling is heightened.  It’s really depressing.  When you think about this picture on a whole we are all slaves to Satan for if we play into our anger we may end up being in an even worse situation, loss of eternal life.

Much prayer and discernment should go into our actions during this tragic time in earth’s history.  We protest, we march and we overcome but pray and let God go before you as you do so.  He’ll direct us if we put Him first.

This is a must watch sermon::

God’s Love

“We shall love to talk of Him; and as we speak to one another of His love, our hearts will be softened by divine influences. “

God’s Love - A love that we all want to feel in our lives a love that we cannot love without an amazing love.

When we converse with friends and family and even strangers, what type of words come out of our mouth?  What feelings are we holding on to when we speak?  What emotions? How are others feeling on the receiving end?  Do they feel a love coming from you? Or something else?

The way we speak to others is extremely important.  In this day and age many have resorted to communication via text messages or Social Media postings.  What are the ways that you communicate to others that will have a lasting impression on them?  The Bible says in the last days “the love of many will wax cold..”. The fake love can start to creep in, can others know that you are not being genuine?  When we are in continual communion with God we will always have a desire to speak of Him.  We will have a strong urge and desire to mention Him in all our conversations, those whose hearts are not hardened will literally feel the love flowing through and they will gravitate towards it.  Hearts will be softened and a craving for more will commence.

The times we are living in are very emotionally driven and the enemy is cheering you on when you speak unkind hateful words.  In situations of disparity and frustration our immediate desire should be to turn to God asking forgiveness direction in how to feel, how to speak and even how to think.  Our soul salvation depends on it.  So keep the love of Christ in our hearts and minds in ALL we do and say.

Have a loving & blessed day!

YOU ARE MIGHTY!

So I was scrolling through instagram last night and this post by @shespeaksministries had me applauding.

When The Lord calls us out on assignment, here is a valuable lesson for us all❤️ In Judges 6:12 The Angel of The Lord appears to Gideon and calls him a mighty man of valor. What?!? Mighty man of valor? This man is hiding out from fear, yet The Angel of The Lord calls him a mighty man of valor?
Here is the thing, God never sizes you up in the flesh sister! He is looking at who He created you to be to this generation. You are here on purpose, and God has given you ALL the equipment you need to do what He has called you to do!

Next, Gideon says, “Pardon me, my Lord,” “but if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all His wonders about which our fathers told us.” Now, Gideon begins observing his natural circumstances above what The Lord HAD JUST TOLD HIM!! The Lord said, “I Am with you!” And then Gideon says, but what about all these circumstances? Sister, never use your natural circumstances to determine whether God is with you! I am here to tell you, “HE IS WITH YOU and HE IS FOR YOU!” Not only is He with you, but He lives in you!! Your circumstances are ZERO indication of whether God is with you or for you!! Lastly in verse 15 Gideon says, “Please, my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house. “Surely I will be with you,” the LORD replied, “and you will strike down all the Midianites as one man.” Gideon now turns to sizing up his ability to accomplish the task. He says, “My clan is the weakest and I am the youngest!” Sister, God is NEVER going to send you to do something for Him that you could accomplish in your might and power. Every assignment is going to take faith! That’s the way He works! So no, in your natural ability you CAN’T do it, but God didn’t ask you to do it in your natural ability, He has told you to do it in His ability! In His ability you have EVERYTHING you will ever need!

So when God sends you, it’s not a matter of whether the circumstances are favorable or your ability is up to par, it is a matter of YES AND AMEN!

Well isn't this a word for today folks? Stay blessed

The Power of prayer 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Ever wonder why your still alive today after so many near death misses?  What about the fact that so many good things keep happening to you in your life and you can't understand why. Could be that ever praying Grandma or Mother.

I have a question for you.  How's your prayer life?  Honestly think about this before answering.  Are you the "now I lay me down to sleep" type? or do you delve deep into prayer?  1 Thessalonians 5:17 says: "Pray without ceasing".  Whether your on the train heading to work or walking down the street we should be praying.  The enemy is trying so hard to put us on a detour and thwart our plans to walk down that straight and narrow.  We need to always arm ourselves with prayer. God hears, and guess what?  He answers!

Let's pray

Dear Heavenly Father
We praise you and lift your name on High!  We thank you for the opportunity that we have to give praise.  So many people weren't able to see this new day.  We want to thank you that we can come to you for anything.  We pray today, that you will give us a spirit of meekness, that we will always remember to pray to you anytime and anywhere.  We love you and want to be in your Kingdom someday.

Thank you for your love and mercy.

In Jesus name,
Amen

All things in common

Verse

“And all that believed were together, and had all things common;”
Acts 2:44 KJV

We all need to be on the same page with our Christian beliefs.  Christ was born, He died and rose again to take away our sins.  All He requires of us is to love Him and keep His laws!  And so, as Christians we should do this so that we may be saved.  In order to do effectively, we need to consistently search the scriptures to understand how to love and how to properly keep the law.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for dying on the cross to save us from our sins.  Help us to give up all we have and follow You.  Help us to understand Your laws and to love You with all Your heart, but first help us to know what that requires.  Teach us Your laws and statutes by guiding us in our scriptural search.

You are our Maker and King and we thank You for Your grace!

In Your Name Amen

Signs of the times

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:10&11

Today as I type Luke 21:10&11 is taking place in full effect!  2015 has been a very prophetic year.  If ever there was a time to get your life together and get closer to God it's now.  When life is so uncertain  Jesus is a constant, He never fails.

I urge you all to make a conscious decision to start that Bible Study, watch Sermons from preachers that don't just preach "surface gospel" but gives hardcore facts and Bible verses to back it up!

Let's pray for those in various countries who are experiencing earthquakes, terrorism and famine.

I will also pray for you the reader that you may find God and that you may let Him lead your life.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for your mercy and grace.  I thank you for sparing my life to see a new day.  Today Lord I pray for those who are hurting in this world, those who are mourning the loss of loved ones , those who are experiencing destruction and chaos all around.  Comfort them Lord and help them to find solace in you.

I ask father that you will help me and all those reading this to draw closer to you, show us how to stay focused and in your word.  Help us to realize that time is extremely short and your coming is at the door. We want to be like the 5 wise virgins with their lamps trimmed and ready.  Lord you are our strength so help us to not be afraid but to eagerly await your return armed with the truth.  You are everything Oh Lord and we praise you!
In Your Name Amen

Out with the old....

“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.” - Hebrews 8:13 KJV

“Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”
Hebrews 7:27 KJV

I'm currently studying the book of Hebrews and little by little the Holy Spirit is revealing clearly things I need to see.

But first let me pray for you the reader that the Holy Spirit will lead you to understand.

"Father, I thank you for your Grace and Love, I thank you for sending your son to die on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven.  I thank you for the gift of eternal life. I pray today that all who read this understand and that they will have a hunger to search the scriptures and to know your truth.

Thank you for your mercy and grace. In your name Amen

First lets go over the two verses I posted above..

Hebrews 7&8

We know that the children of Israel where appointed a priest through the lineage of Levi, they had to offer up daily sacrifices through the priest so their sins can be forgiven.  Now this was the covenant that was made for them prior to Jesus death. Now that Jesus made the sacrifice on the cross there is no need for sacrifices, burnt offerings and the priest being a mediator.  Thus that covenant "decayeth" and is now done away with.

With that being said we now know that asking a priest to intercede on our behalf or even the fact that there are still priests that carry on a good portion of what should be obsolete is in direct disregard to what the Bible teaches.

So now we know that Christ died for our sins and that we can go directly to Him whenever we need to, Isn't that wonderful?

I pray for you today that God will continue to reveal His truth to you.  Just pray continually and search the scriptures daily.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

What do we really believe?

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:8 KJV

The other day I had a discussion about a certain faith's daily custom, and it brought me to wonder, "Does what we do in our faith really bring honor and glory to God? Or is it just "fluff" created by man to veer us away from knowing the real truth?"

God left us a book ; a manual as you will, written by the chosen who were inspired by the Holy Spirit and instructed by God. Everything that God intended for us to learn and instructions on how we must live our lives and worship Him are written in the Bible.

The world of religion is so full of varied beliefs, but do we really truly believe?  Or are we just following because they say so?  Have you really searched the scriptures to know your truth or are you going to take their word for it?

 2 Timothy 2:15 says:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Also,

Galatians 6:4-8 says: But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

If you are dedicated to a specific religion make sure that what your learning is in alignment with God's word, it's important that we aren't adding our own beliefs contrary to what the bible instructed.

Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

In this day and age people are so busy that they don't  really study for themselves,  they think an hour in church should do it for them and that's all they need for the week, convenient right? Let the leader of the church do the leg work and let me hear his opinion.  You know the saying "I'll take your word for it?" Never mind all the extras that are in complete defiance of God's word..

When studying, be sure you are reading the right Bible.  Compare Bibles if you have to to ensure that the wording is in alignment.

My friends, if you've taken the time to read my post you made the right step! The next step is to pray and pick up the word, Religion is awesome in a way because it gets you started and hopefully in the right direction, just make sure what you hear is in alignment with Gods word, don't be gullible, you wouldn't trust eating something from a restaurant if you didn't know what's in it right?

I'll say a special prayer for you:

Father, impress upon the minds of those, the urgency to search the scriptures, Your coming is imminent even at the door, please see the willingness of all those wanting the truth and reveal to them everything they need to know about You.

Thank you for your mercy in Your Holy name, Amen!

Trust God

Read:

Exodus 4,5 & 14

I'm currently reading the story of Moses, you know the part where Pharaoh makes the children of Israel make bricks with no straw?  It was hard for Moses to understand what God was trying to do, even when He had performed all the miracles up on that mountain for Moses to see - turning sticks into serpents and inflicting temporary leprosy, God had a plan!  We all know the ending of this story but boy it took a whole lot of wandering, punishments and miracles for the children of Israel to finally get it! My question for you is do you get it?  God makes amazing, miraculous and wonderful things happen for us because He loves us so, and we revel and bask and praise Him for He has been so kind to us but then months later when trouble abounds we find ourselves worrying and complaining and weeping and suddenly we forget that not to long ago we were relishing in our blessings.  It's so easy to forget that all we need to do is pray, trust and have faith.  It's that simple!  How can we forget? He did part the waters for the children of Israel and cause the Egyptian soldiers to drown,  so I'm sure that your small or your seemingly large issues is not too big for God to handle.

My simple message to you is trust Him, He'll see you through.

Pray this:

Lord, I love you, I thank you for you are holy, worthy and mighty.  Help me not to forget how mighty you are.  Help me to remember that nothing is too hard for you and that you can hear me before I even open my mouth to pray, help me to realize that you understand my needs and you know what's best for me.  Help me Lord to trust in your timing, believe in your powers and to wait on your word.  -- In Your holy name, Amen

Overcoming Strongholds

Bible Verse

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

When we come to Christ, the army of the Lord invades our life; the battle for territory has begun.  Satan is not willing to give ground to his enemy, the Lord of Hosts; he does not want us to live a successful spiritual life.  Therefore, his goal is to keep as many strongholds standing in our life as he can, allowing him to wage war on our souls.  Remember, Satan goal is to prevent the power of God, from being established in the believer’s life.   He does this through strongholds, if Satan can establish areas of operation in our life; he then will have the ability to attack at will.  He can then keep us from being on the offensive, against his kingdom.
For this reason, it’s imperative for us to have these Satanic strongholds pulled down.  If we don’t remove strongholds, we invite failure and defeat in our spiritual walk.  Because we are giving Satan a base from which to wage war.  The only way we can assault spiritual strongholds is through the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in our life.  Without the heavenly power, in our lives we are at Satan’s mercy.  The Holy Spirit through Paul shows us how to wage war. truthnet.org

Prayer
Lord you are our God, you are the almighty and only you can help us break free from the satanic strongholds of life.  Help us to realize that strongholds are anything that takes presedence over you, anything that brings us down anything that has a negative effect on our lives whether now or in the future.  Lord help us to be vigilant in making every effort to remove the strongholds from our lives,  help us to realize that we can only do this by asking you for your help.  So please, in your mercy and your power help us overcome.. Praise you!  In your name amen!

Communion & it's importance

Jesus was with his disciples on the night he was to be betrayed.  He broke bread and drank wine, then He told his disciples to do this in remembrance of him.

This should still be continued even today and should be performed with the greatest of reverence.

Let us remember the one who sacrificed his life for us by actively taking part in communion.

Heaven is for real

It's been a while since I've posted and I wanted to let you know, I've had a chance to read a tiny bit of "Heaven is for real", the remarkable story of the little boy who was in the hospital and during his surgery had a vision of being in heaven.  Let me tell you how amazing God is, He uses children so innocent and pure to help spread the word.

I hope you will all read this book and/or watch this movie because God wants his people and is working speedily to get us saved in His kingdom!

Here's a Clip of the story:

Oh taste and see...

Daily Verse

Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Thoughts:

Every day we face troubles, whether big or small, what we do about them can affect our lives for the better or for the worse.  Have you ever prayed to God asking him to help you from situations that trouble you?  Have you still worried about what the outcome of this trouble will be even though you prayed?  We have all been faced with this at some point in time.  God says "blessed is the man that trusteth in him" so in order for us to be blessed we need to put trust into action.

Prayer:

Dear Father

We are so blessed to be alive and are glad that you have allowed us another day.  Lord help us to always seek you first and trust you implicity.

Thank you for your grace and love, in your name we pray....

Amen

Verse of the Day: 1Samuel 2:2

There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

The truth is written.  Let us live in complete faith, knowing and believing that God is our rock and a very present help in time of need.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus

We thank you for being there for us even though we do not deserve it.  Help us to remember that no matter what happens in our lives you are always there for us.  Continue to hold our hand and lead us forward to everlasting life.  In Jesus name, Amen

Healthy Eating: Golden Beet Salad with Shallots, Parsley, and Orange Miso Dressing

for the salad:
3-4 medium golden beets
10 small shallots
1 cup uncooked rainbow quinoa
1.5 cups vegetable broth
2 small seedless navel oranges, segmented and chopped (see note)
1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
handful finely chopped pistachios, for garnish (optional)
Orange Miso Dressing: (makes: ~1/3 cup)
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil (or olive oil)
1-2 tbsp light miso dressing (I used 2 tbsp chickpea miso), to taste
1 medium garlic clove, peeled
1/2 tsp minced fresh ginger
1/2 tsp cane sugar (or maple syrup), or to taste
1. Preheat oven to 375F and line a dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot with a piece of parchment paper.
2. Trim beet greens, leaving 2-3 inches of the stem on the beet (this prevents the beet from drying out while roasting). Note: If you buy loose beets without stems this is fine too. Use what you can find. Reserve beet greens for sautéing, if desired. Wash beets, but do not peel them.
3. Place beets inside the pot. Drizzle on olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roll around the beets to coat.
4. Soak shallots in a bowl of water for a few minutes. This helps to loosen the skin. Slice both ends off the shallots and then peel all the skin off each. Place a piece of tin foil on the counter (about 1 square foot) and place the shallots on top. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. Rub the shallots to combine. Gather the tin foil at each side and crinkle it upward to seal the top. Place shallots in the pot along with the beets.
5. Place lid on pot and roast beets and shallots for about 1 hour at 375F.
6. Meanwhile, cook the quinoa. Rinse the quinoa in a fine-mesh strainer and place it into a pot along with 1.5 cups of vegetable broth. Bring to a low boil, reduce heat to low-medium, and cover with tight fitting lid. Simmer for 17-20 minutes covered, or until all the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork.
7. Prepare the dressing by processing together all the dressing ingredients. I like to use a mini processor for my dressings because the clean-up is minimal. You could also whisk everything together by hand too.
8. After 1 hour, remove pot from the oven to check on things. Remove the shallots and set aside on the counter (keep the tin foil on so they stay warm). Carefully, prick the largest beet with a fork. If it slides easily through, it’s ready. If your fork feels resistance, it needs more time in the oven. I had to cook my beets for about 1 hour and 25 minutes, so don’t be alarmed if it takes you more time.
9. Remove beets from oven, remove lid, and allow beets to cool until they can be handled. Trim both ends of the beet and discard. Run water over beets and peel the skin off with your fingers (the skin should slide off fairly easily) and then slice beets into bite-sized pieces for the salad.
10. To assemble the salad: Toss together the cooked quinoa, chopped parsley, Herbamare or sea salt, and a couple tablespoons of the dressing. Gently fold in the shallots, segmented oranges, and beets. Drizzle on the rest of the dressing, sprinkle on pistachios (optional), and serve immediately.

Verse of the Day: Isaiah 53:5-6 - He was wounded for us

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Let us always remember that Jesus died for our sins, he was battered beaten and bruised & bared the cross for us.  So many of us have strayed from the teachings of the Lord  and seem to have lost our way.  Jesus died so that we might be saved, let us pray that we are saved in God's kingdom so that the sacrifice Jesus made will not be in vain.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus

We thank you for dying on the cross to save us from our sins, help us to remember that it was not some sort of fairytale but a true to life story.  Help us to realize that we would not be here if it wasn't for the sacrifice you made for us.  Lord we humbly ask for your forgiveness of our sins, help us this day to be renewed in you, help us to commit to your word & your will, starting right now.  Lord we need peace, understanding and a clear mind.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Verse of the Day: Romans 5:1 - Faith Justified

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Once we've accepted God as our Saviour  we should be completely dedicated to him.  Our Faith should be stronger, and our deeds and actions should be of the likeness of Christ.  We will be more at peace and all our worries and cares will seem insignificant.  Let us pray that our faith in Christ remains strong.

Let us pray

Dear Jesus

Thank you for your love and for dying on the cross to save us from our sins.  We pray today that you will renew our faith in you.  Help us to see how much easier our lives will be once we surrender to you completely.  Help us to be steadfast and strong in you.  In Jesus name, Amen

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 1:1-8 - Learn, Understand & Gain Wisdom

 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Giving instruction to others is good, but it is also good to receive instruction & to learn from your elders.  Sometimes we think we know it all and think we can teach others a thing or too, but if we don't follow the right instructions we may be headed for trouble.  Let's ask God to help us in our daily lives that we will listen to instruction, understand it so that we may be wise in the Lord.

 Let us Pray

Dear Jesus

Thank you for giving us life & a mind to think,  help us to realize that without you we are nothing.  Help us to realize that with you we can do anything.  Help us also to realize that we need to understand what it means to humble ourselves & learn. Help us to be wiser in you! In Jesus name, Amen
